Mrs. Achsa R. Britt Funk, 84, a former piano teacher, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday in Heritage Healthcare Center, West Lafayette.  She had been in failing health two years. Born in Stateline, ill she was reared in Fountain County and lived near Attica until coming to West Lafayette in 1960. She resided at 454 N. Grant St, prior to entering the nursing facility in January. Her marriage was in 1918 in Attica to Jesse Funk. He farmed in Fountain County and preceded her in death in 1961.  Mrs. Funk was a member of First Free Methodist Church in Lafayette. Surviving are three brothers, Floyd M. and Dr. Robert Britt, both of West Lafayette and W. Eugene Britt of Lafayette and two sisters, Mrs. F. Morse (Anna marie) Cook of Battle Creek Mich and Mrs. Byron (Evelyn) Frank of Hartsville, SC.

Funeral Notice: Mrs. Achsa R. Funk - Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Hippensteel Funeral Home. Service in Hippensteel Chapel, 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Theodore E. Cuttrell officiating. Interment Salem Cemetery, Odell. Three brothers preceded in death. Those desiring may contribute in memorial to First Free Methodist Church. - kbz
